Cookie Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This website does not set cookies and does not use advertising or tracking, so there is no cookie banner. It stores two small items in your browser's local storage, and runs privacy-focused analytics that you can switch off at any time. UK law (PECR) treats local storage in the same way as cookies, so we list everything here.
What this website stores
- Your theme (britnova-theme). Saved only if you use the light/dark switch, so the site opens how you left it. It changes only how the site looks. You can clear it by clearing this site's data in your browser.
- Analytics off switch (umami.disabled). Saved only if you turn analytics off, so it stays off on your next visit.
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to see overall visit numbers and which pages are useful. Its script sets no cookies and stores nothing else on your device. It sends the page address, the page you came from, the page title, your screen size and your browser language to Umami. We use the results as overall statistics. We do not use them for advertising or to build profiles of individual visitors.
UK law allows analytics like this without asking first, as long as we tell you clearly what we do and make it easy to object. This page is that information, and the switch below is the way to object.
Turn analytics off or on
Use the Analytics switch here or in the footer of any page. Turning it off is as easy as turning it on, and nothing is sent to Umami while it is off.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as turned off until you switch it on.
Third-party links
Links to LinkedIn, Instagram, WhatsApp, Calendly and other sites take you to services that may set their own cookies. We do not control them, so please read their policies.
Server information
Our hosting provider receives technical details such as your IP address each time a page is requested, which is how any website works. This is described in our Privacy Policy.
