Last updated: 14 October 2026

This policy explains how Britnova Technologies collects, uses and protects personal information when you use britnova.net or contact us. It is written to meet the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

The controller of your personal information is Britnova Technology (Private) Limited, a private company limited by shares under Pakistan's Companies Act 2017, incorporated on 21 August 2026 and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (CRO Lahore) under CUIN 0351933. Its registered office is House # 14, Ghous E Azam Colony, Gulberg 2, Lahore 54660, Punjab, Pakistan.

We are registering with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, and will publish our registration number here once it is issued.

Our UK operations are led by Khaleel Yafa, Chief Executive Officer (UK). People in the UK can contact him about their personal information at contact@britnova.net.

How to contact us about your data

Email contact@britnova.net and we will respond to any request about your personal information.

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, because the UK GDPR does not require one for our activities.

What we collect, why, and our lawful basis

We only collect what we need. Please do not include sensitive information (such as health details) in messages to us.

  • Contact form (your name, email address, project type and message). We use it to reply to your enquiry and to discuss possible work with you. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries, or, if you ask us for a proposal or quote, steps you have asked us to take before entering into a contract.
  • Messages you send us directly, including email, WhatsApp, phone calls and Calendly bookings. We use them to reply and to manage our work with you. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering and managing business enquiries, or the steps needed to enter into or carry out a contract with you.
  • Website analytics: the page visited, the page you came from, the page title, your screen size and browser language, plus general device and location information derived from the request. We use this in aggregate to understand how the site is used, and it is on unless you turn it off with the Analytics switch in the footer or your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in improving the website.
  • Technical data our hosting provider handles to deliver and secure the site, such as your IP address and request details. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to run the site and our business. They act on our instructions as processors:

  • Resend, which delivers contact-form messages to us by email.
  • Netlify, which hosts the website and runs the function that handles the contact form.
  • Umami, which provides website analytics (you can turn this off in the footer).
  • Hostinger, which provides our email, including the contact@britnova.net mailbox.
  • Calendly, which handles meeting bookings if you book a call with us.
  • Professional advisers, such as accountants or lawyers, only where we need their help.

We do not sell your personal information.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of the providers above are based in, or process information in, the United States, and our team works from the UK, Pakistan and Canada.

The UK has adequacy regulations covering Canada (for organisations subject to Canada's PIPEDA) and US organisations certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, but not Pakistan. We are confirming with our adviser which safeguards UK law requires for the transfers we make, and will describe them here.

You can ask us about this at any time.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work: 12 months after our last contact, then we delete them. Client records: for the length of our work together, and afterwards for as long as Pakistani tax and company law requires us to keep business records. Website analytics: kept as overall statistics, which do not include your name or contact details.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • be told how your information is used (this policy);
  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate information corrected;
  • have your information erased in certain circumstances;
  • restrict how we use it in certain circumstances;
  • receive your information in a portable format where it applies;
  • turn analytics off at any time with the Analytics switch in the footer of every page.

You also have the right to object to our use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests. Tell us and we will stop unless we can show a compelling reason to continue.

To use any of these rights, email us. We will normally respond within one month. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling on this website.

Complaints

We would like the chance to put things right first, so please contact us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator, on 0303 123 1113.
